Biosecurity auditor to be given opportunity to make submissions about cancellation
255 Biosecurity auditor to be given opportunity to make submissions about
cancellation
(1) Before cancelling the appointment of a biosecurity auditor, an
accreditation authority must-- (a) give notice in writing to the
biosecurity auditor of the accreditation authority's intention to cancel the
appointment and the proposed grounds for doing so, and
(b) invite the
biosecurity auditor to make a submission to the accreditation authority about
the proposed cancellation, and
(c) take into account any submission made to
the accreditation authority by the biosecurity auditor before the deadline for
the making of a submission.
(2) The accreditation authority must specify a
deadline for the making of a submission to the accreditation authority about
the proposed cancellation that is at least 30 days after notice of the
proposed cancellation is given to the biosecurity auditor.
(3) An
accreditation authority is not required to give notice under this section of a
proposed cancellation if-- (a) the appointment of the biosecurity auditor is
suspended, or
(b) the biosecurity auditor has applied for cancellation of the
appointment.
