BIOSECURITY ACT 2015 - SECT 79
Biosecurity zones
(1) The regulations may establish one or more biosecurity zones for the
purpose of preventing, eliminating, minimising or managing a biosecurity risk
or biosecurity impact.
(2) The principal object of a biosecurity zone
regulation is to provide for the long term management of a biosecurity risk or
biosecurity impact.
(3) Subsection (2) does not limit the matters that may be
provided for by the regulations.
