BUILDING AND DEVELOPMENT CERTIFIERS ACT 2018 - SECT 109
Secretary may require information about insurance policies
109 Secretary may require information about insurance policies
(1) The Secretary may direct a person that issues an insurance policy to a
registered certifier with respect to certification work (a
"certifier policy" ), to provide to the Secretary any of the following
information about certifier policies or particular classes of certifier
policies issued by the person as may be specified by the Secretary-- (a) the
terms of the policies,
(b) the premiums payable,
(c) the number of policies
issued,
(d) the registered certifiers to whom policies have been issued,
(e)
the number and value of claims made under the policies,
(f) any other
information prescribed by the regulations.
(2) The Secretary may direct that
the information under subsection (1) be provided in the time specified in the
direction.
(3) A direction under this section must be given in writing.
(4)
A person must not fail to comply with a direction given to the person under
this section. : Maximum penalty--500 penalty units.
