CHILDREN (EDUCATION AND CARE SERVICES) NATIONAL LAW (NSW) - SECT 295
False or misleading information or documents
295 False or misleading information or documents
(1) A person must not give the Regulatory Authority or an authorised officer
under this Law any information or document that the person knows is false or
misleading in a material particular. : Penalty-- $6800, in the case of an
individual.
$34 400, in any other case
(2) Subsection (1) does not apply in
respect of the giving of a document, if the person when giving the document--
(a) informs the Regulatory Authority or authorised officer, to the best of the
person's ability, how it is false or misleading; and
(b) gives the correct
information to the Regulatory Authority or authorised officer if the person
has, or can reasonably obtain, the correct information.
