In this Part--
"appropriate authority" means a person who, pursuant to a child protection
order made under a child welfare law other than this Act, is competent to take
action equivalent to action that may be taken pursuant to a child protection
order made under this Act.
"interstate ward" means a child who is in New South Wales and who, immediately
before entering New South Wales, was subject to a child protection order made
under a child welfare law other than this Act, being a child protection order
that has not been transferred to New South Wales under this Chapter.
