Candidates for election to neighbourhood executive committee
30 Candidates for election to neighbourhood executive committee
(1) To be eligible for election to the executive committee of a
neighbourhood association, a person must be-- (a) a member of the association
(other than a corporation), or
(b) the only nominee of a member of the
association that is a corporation, or
(c) the only nominee of a member of the
association who is eligible to be, but is not, a candidate.
(2) A joint
proprietor of a neighbourhood lot may not be a candidate for election unless
nominated as a candidate by-- (a) a member of the association other than a
joint proprietor of the lot, or
(b) a joint proprietor of the lot who is not
a candidate.
(3) A member of the association who is not a joint proprietor of
a neighbourhood lot and is not a corporation may nominate himself or herself
as a candidate.
(4) Under this section-- (a) a corporation may not be
nominated as a candidate, and
(b) a corporation or other person entitled to
nominate a candidate may not nominate more than 1, and
(c) of joint
proprietors, not more than 1 may be nominated as a candidate.
