CRIMINAL PROCEDURE ACT 1986 - SECT 298
Protected confidences--criminal proceedings
(1) Except with the leave of the court, a person cannot seek to compel
(whether by subpoena or any other procedure) any other person to produce a
document recording a protected confidence in, or in connection with, any
criminal proceedings.
(2) Except with the leave of the court, a document
recording a protected confidence cannot be produced in, or in connection with,
any criminal proceedings.
(3) Except with the leave of the court, evidence
cannot be adduced in any criminal proceedings if it would disclose a
protected confidence or the contents of a document recording a
protected confidence.
