8 Police officer to ask whether suspect identifies as Aboriginal person or
Torres Strait Islander
Before asking a suspect to consent to a forensic procedure under this Part, a
police officer must ask the suspect whether the suspect identifies as an
Aboriginal person or Torres Strait Islander.
