Functions of registrars
18H Functions of registrars
(1) The registrar for a proclaimed place has and may exercise-- (a) in the
case of an action to which the Civil Procedure Act 2005 applies, the
functions conferred on the registrar pursuant to section 12 or 13 of that Act,
or
(b) in any other case, the functions prescribed by the
civil procedure rules or the criminal procedure rules.
(2) The registrar for
a proclaimed place may exercise any or all of those functions in respect of
that proclaimed place only.
(3) The Principal Registrar may exercise any or
all of those functions in respect of any place in the State.
