ELECTORAL ACT 2017 - SECT 160
Protection of computer hardware and software
160 Protection of computer hardware and software
(1) A person must not,
without reasonable excuse, destroy or interfere with any computer program,
data file or electronic device used, or intended to be used, by the
Electoral Commissioner for or in connection with technology assisted voting. :
Maximum penalty--200 penalty units or imprisonment for 3 years, or both.
(2)
An offence under this section is an indictable offence.
