Declaration of election result
173 Declaration of election result
(1) As soon as practicable after the
count has been completed, the Electoral Commissioner must declare the result
of the election by announcing the name or names of the persons elected.
(2)
The Electoral Commissioner must give public notice of the declaration of the
result of the election-- (a) in a newspaper circulating in New South Wales, or
(b) on the Electoral Commission's website.
(3) The Electoral Commissioner is
to endorse the name or names of the persons elected on the writ concerned and
return the writ to the Governor, or Speaker, as the case may require, within
the specified time.
