(1) The Electoral Commissioner may, at any time, by notice in writing served on a registered officer or any other officer of a registered party, require the registered officer or other officer to prepare and produce a statement of the following (unless the information is already in the written constitution of the party)--(a) the party's objects,(b) the procedure for amending the party's written constitution,(c) the rules for membership of the party, including the procedure for accepting a person as a member and ending a person's membership,(d) a description of the party structure and of how the party manages its internal affairs,(e) the procedure for selecting a person to hold an office in the party and for removing a person from office,(f) the names of the officers or members of the party responsible for ensuring the party complies with this Act and the Electoral Funding Act 2018 .
(2) A person must not, without reasonable excuse, fail to comply with a notice served on the person under this section.: Maximum penalty--10 penalty units.
(3) The Electoral Commissioner may make changes to the Register of Parties in response to information furnished in compliance with a notice served under this section.
