Bag limits--possession of fish
17A Bag limits--possession of fish
(1) Possession limits for fish may be imposed under this Act.
(2) A
"possession limit" is the maximum quantity of fish that a person may have in
the person's possession in any specified circumstances.
(3) A
possession limit may be imposed in relation to a specified species of fish or
fish of a specified class.
(4) A possession limit may apply generally or be
limited to-- (a) a particular class of fishers, or
(b) fish of a particular
size, or
(c) particular waters, or
(d) any other specified circumstances.
(5) The possession limit of any fish need not be the same as the daily limit
of those fish.
(6) A possession limit of zero may be imposed.
(7) This
section does not authorise the possession of fish in contravention of any
other provision of or made under this Act.
