GUARDIANSHIP ACT 1987 - SECT 22A
Death of guardian
(1) If the guardian of a person dies-- (a) any other person appointed as a
guardian jointly with the deceased guardian (the
"surviving guardian" ) may exercise the functions that he or she exercised
jointly with the deceased guardian (and, if there is more than one
surviving guardian, the surviving guardians may exercise those functions
jointly), or
(b) if there is no surviving guardian, the person's alternative
guardian for the deceased guardian is taken to be the person's guardian, or
(c) if there is no surviving guardian or alternative guardian, the
Public Guardian is taken to be the person's guardian.
(2) The provisions of
this section apply until the relevant guardianship order is reviewed.
