GAMING MACHINES ACT 2001 - SECT 168
Consideration and fees for CMS licence or links licences
(1) The Minister may determine that an amount is payable as consideration for
the grant of a CMS licence or links licence. Different amounts may be
determined for different licences.
(2) The Minister may determine a periodic
licence fee for a CMS licence or links licence. Any such fee is payable in
accordance with the regulations.
(3) The Minister can accept payment of an
amount of consideration payable under this section by payment in money or by
the issue of shares.
(4) A CMS licence or links licence for which an amount
of consideration has been determined to be payable under this section is not
to be granted until the amount has been paid or arrangements satisfactory to
the Minister have been made for its payment.
(5) The regulations may make
provision for or with respect to any fee payable under this section and in
particular may provide for any of the following-- (a) the periods in respect
of which a fee is payable,
(b) times for payments of fees,
(c) payment by
instalments,
(d) penalties for late payment,
(e) suspension or cancellation
of a licence for failing to pay a fee,
(f) the circumstances in which a fee
(or part of a fee) may be refunded.
