Gambling harm minimisation and related matters
62A Gambling harm minimisation and related matters
(1) In exercising its functions under this Division, the Authority is required
to have due regard to the following matters-- (a) the need for gambling harm
minimisation (as referred to in section 3 (1) (a)),
(b) the need to foster
responsible conduct in relation to gambling,
(c) the need to minimise the
potential for any harm that may result from the approval of technical
standards under section 62 or from the declaration of a device as an
approved gaming machine under this Division,
(d) whether, in the opinion of
the Authority, any feature, function or characteristic of any such device is
likely to lead to an exacerbation of problem gambling.
(2) This section does
not affect the operation of section 3 in so far as that section applies to the
Authority's functions under this Act.
