Manufacturing or assembling of gaming machines
84 Manufacturing or assembling of gaming machines
(1) A person who manufactures or assembles a gaming machine is guilty of an
offence unless the person-- (a) holds a dealer's licence, or
(b) is a
director or secretary of a corporation that holds a dealer's licence, or
(c)
is an employee of the holder of a dealer's licence and is doing work as such
an employee.
: Maximum penalty--100 penalty units or imprisonment for 12
months, or both.
(2) The holder of a dealer's licence who manufactures or
assembles a gaming machine otherwise than in accordance with the authority
conferred by the licence is guilty of an offence. : Maximum penalty--100
penalty units or imprisonment for 12 months, or both.
(3) Subsection (2) does
not apply to the manufacture or assembly of a gaming machine by the holder of
a dealer's licence if-- (a) the Authority has agreed to the making of an
application by the licensee to have the gaming machine declared as an
approved gaming machine, and
(b) the manufacture or assembly of the
gaming machine is for the purposes of the application and its investigation.
