GOVERNMENT SECTOR EMPLOYMENT ACT 2013 - SECT 49

49 Interpretation and application: Division 6

(1) In this Division--

"conditions of employment" and
"industrial matters" have the same meanings they have in the Industrial Relations Act 1996 .

"Industrial Relations Secretary" means the Secretary of the Premier's Department.

Note : An administrative arrangements order may be made under Part 7 of the Constitution Act 1902 to change the reference to the Secretary of the Premier's Department having regard to future administrative changes in the allocation of Ministerial and departmental responsibilities.

(2) This Division does not apply to the conditions of employment of the Secretary of a Department or a Public Service senior executive. This subsection does not prevent particular conditions of employment under this Division from being adopted by reference in the contract of employment of the Secretary or executive.
