(1) A person must not, directly or indirectly--(a) disclose a protected report to another person that the person has obtained in the exercise of the person's functions under this Law; or(b) make a record of, or disclose to another person, information contained in a protected report that the person has obtained in the exercise of the person's functions under this Law: Maximum penalty--50 penalty units.
(2) Subsection (1) does not apply to the disclosure by a person of a protected report or information contained in a protected report--(a) for the purpose of exercising functions under this Law; or(b) to the Commission.
(3) A protected report may not be admitted or used in civil proceedings before a court other than with the consent of--(a) the person giving the report; and(b) the person the subject of the report.
(4) A person may not be compelled to produce a protected report, or to give evidence in relation to the report or its contents, in civil proceedings before a court.
