INTERPRETATION ACT 1987 - SECT 21D
References to health practitioners
21D References to health practitioners
(1) In any Act or instrument, a reference to a named class of health
practitioner in a health profession within the meaning of the Health
Practitioner Regulation National Law (NSW) means a person who, under that Law,
is registered (other than as a student) and is authorised to use that name.
(2) However, if the reference is to a registered nurse this is taken not to
include a reference to a person who is registered under that Law as an
enrolled nurse.
