INDEPENDENT COMMISSION AGAINST CORRUPTION ACT 1988 - SECT 20A
Preliminary investigations
(1) An investigation may be in the nature of a preliminary investigation.
(2)
A preliminary examination can be conducted, for example, for the purpose of
assisting the Commission-- (a) to discover or identify conduct that might be
made the subject of a more complete investigation under this Act, or
(b) to
decide whether to make particular conduct the subject of a more complete
investigation under this Act.
(3) Nothing in this section affects any other
provision of this Act.
