INDEPENDENT COMMISSION AGAINST CORRUPTION ACT 1988 - SECT 33
Legal representation
33 Legal representation
(1) The Commission may, in relation to a compulsory examination or
public inquiry, authorise-- (a) a person giving evidence at the
compulsory examination or public inquiry, or
(b) a person referred to in
section 32,
to be represented by an Australian legal practitioner at the
compulsory examination or public inquiry or a specified part of the
compulsory examination or public inquiry.
(2) The Commission is required to
give a reasonable opportunity for a person giving evidence at the
compulsory examination or public inquiry to be legally represented.
(3) An
Australian legal practitioner appointed by the Commission to assist it may
appear before the Commission.
