INDEPENDENT COMMISSION AGAINST CORRUPTION ACT 1988 - SECT 34
Examination and cross-examination
34 Examination and cross-examination
(1) An Australian legal practitioner appointed by the Commission to assist it,
or a person or a person's Australian legal practitioner authorised to appear
at a compulsory examination or public inquiry, may, with the leave of the
Commission, examine or cross-examine any witness on any matter that the
Commission considers relevant.
(2) Any witness so examined or cross-examined
has the same protection and is subject to the same liabilities as if examined
by a Commissioner or an Assistant Commissioner.
