Appointment of members of the Commission
148 Appointment of members of the Commission
(1) The members of the
Commission are to be appointed by the Governor by commission under the public
seal of the State.
(2) A person is not eligible to be appointed as the Chief
Commissioner unless the person is-- (a) a person who holds or has held a
judicial office of this State or of the Commonwealth, another State or a
Territory, or
(b) an Australian lawyer.
