Crown may challenge for cause but not require jurors to stand aside
43 Crown may challenge for cause but not require jurors to stand aside
(1) The Crown has the right to challenge a juror for cause in any
criminal proceedings or in any civil proceedings in which it is a party.
(2)
A juror on a panel returned for the trial of any criminal proceedings shall
not, at the request of those prosecuting for the Crown, be ordered to stand by
until all the jurors on the panel have been called for.
