Misrepresentation or misdescription of credit transactions
109 Misrepresentation or misdescription of credit transactions
(1) A responsible person for licensed premises must not, in any
credit transaction, describe or represent money provided to another person who
the responsible person knows, or could reasonably be expected to know, intends
to use the money to gamble on the licensed premises to be a payment for goods
or services lawfully provided on the licensed premises or elsewhere. : Maximum
penalty--100 penalty units.
(2) In subsection (1),
"credit transaction" means any transaction involving a payment to
licensed premises by means of a credit facility provided by a
financial institution.
