Functions of ICAC where police officers, Crime Commission officers or administrative employees involved
169 Functions of ICAC where police officers, Crime Commission officers or
administrative employees involved
(1) The ICAC cannot investigate or otherwise deal with a matter involving the
conduct of police officers, Crime Commission officers or
administrative employees or agency maladministration by the NSW Police Force
or the Crime Commission if the matter does not also involve the conduct of
public officials who are not police officers, Crime Commission officers or
administrative employees or agencies other than the NSW Police Force or the
Crime Commission.
(2) The ICAC may investigate and otherwise deal with a
matter involving the conduct of police officers, Crime Commission officers or
administrative employees or agency maladministration by the NSW Police Force
or the Crime Commission, provided this is done in the context of matters that
also involve public officials who are not police officers,
Crime Commission officers or administrative employees or agencies other than
the NSW Police Force or the Crime Commission.
(3) This section has effect
subject to arrangements under section 171.
