LAW ENFORCEMENT CONDUCT COMMISSION ACT 2016 - SECT 195
Exercise of functions by police
(1) A police officer may not exercise investigative, surveillance or
enforcement functions under or for the purposes of Part 6 unless authorised to
do so by the Commission.
(2) As soon as practicable after giving such an
authorisation, the Commission must notify the Inspector of that fact.
(3)
This section has effect despite any other provision of this Act, but does not
apply to functions specified or described in the regulations for the purposes
of this subsection.
