Classification of patients as involuntary patients
105 Classification of patients as involuntary patients
(1) The Tribunal may, on a review under this Part, classify a patient detained
in a mental health facility, correctional centre, detention centre or other
place as an involuntary patient if-- (a) the patient is a forensic patient
detained following a special hearing and is to cease to be a forensic patient
within 6 months after the date of the review, or
(b) the patient is a
correctional patient who is to cease to be a correctional patient within 6
months after the date of the review.
(2) The Tribunal may order that a
patient classified as an involuntary patient be transferred from a
correctional centre or detention centre to a mental health facility.
