Special provisions relating to certain state recreation areas
47N Special provisions relating to certain state recreation areas
(1) This section applies to the following state recreation areas-- Copeton,
Lake Keepit,
Burrendong,
Lake Glenbawn,
Wyangala,
Grabine,
Killalea,
Burrinjuck (but only in respect of such part of the Burrinjuck state
recreation area as is specified by the Secretary by notice published in the
Gazette on or before the commencement of this section).
(2) On the
commencement of this section-- (a) the reservation under this Act of land as a
state recreation area to which this section applies is, by this section,
revoked, and
(2A) Any land that was taken to be dedicated for the purposes of
public recreation under Part 5 of the Crown Lands Act 1989 immediately before
the day on which that Act was repealed by the Crown Land Management Act 2016
continues, on and from that day, to be Crown land dedicated for the same
purposes under the Crown Land Management Act 2016 . Note : Clause 11 of
Schedule 7 to the Crown Land Management Act 2016 operated on the day the
Crown Lands Act 1989 was repealed-- (a) to abolish the reserve trust for the
land, and
(b) to replace it with a statutory land manager under that Act, and
(c) to appoint the members of the trust board of the reserve trust as members
of the board of the statutory land manager, and
(d) to appoint the statutory
land manager as the Crown land manager of the land.
(3) This section has
effect despite section 47L.
(4) Schedule 9A (Transfer of assets, rights and
liabilities) has effect.
