PROPERTY AND STOCK AGENTS ACT 2002 - SECT 10
Assistant agents require certificate of registration
(1) A person must not do any of the following things unless the person is the
holder of a certificate of registration-- (a) be or remain as an
assistant agent in the employment of a person licensed (or required to be
licensed) under this Act,
(b) represent, whether expressly or impliedly, that
the person is an assistant agent,
(c) act as or exercise any of the functions
of an assistant agent.
: Maximum penalty--100 penalty units.
(2) An employed
licensee is not required to hold both a certificate of registration and a
licence to allow the licensee lawfully to do anything that, in the absence of
this section, the licensee could lawfully do as the holder of the licence.
(3) An assistant agent who holds a certificate of registration may be known as
a registered agent.
