PAWNBROKERS AND SECOND-HAND DEALERS ACT 1996 - SECT 44A

44A No contracting out of Act

(1) A provision in or condition of an agreement or arrangement is of no effect to the extent that it would operate to exclude, modify or restrict the operation of this Act or any provision of this Act.

(2) A licensee must not enter into an agreement or arrangement if a provision in or condition of the agreement or arrangement would (but for subsection (1)) operate to exclude, modify or restrict the operation of this Act or any provision of this Act.
