Conditions for mandatory environmental audits
174 Conditions for mandatory environmental audits
(1) The conditions of a licence may require a mandatory environmental audit to
be undertaken to the satisfaction of the appropriate regulatory authority.
(2) Such a condition must specify the purpose of the audit.
(3) Such a
condition may require-- (a) appointment of an environmental auditor to
undertake the audit, and
(b) approval by the appropriate regulatory authority
of the environmental auditor before being appointed, and
(c) preparation of
written documentation during the course of the audit, and
(d) preparation of
an audit report, and
(e) production to the appropriate regulatory authority
of the audit report.
(4) Such a condition may-- (a) specify the format and
level of detail required for the audit, or
(b) require the environmental
auditor to submit the proposed format and level of detail to the appropriate
regulatory authority for approval.
