POLICE REGULATION (SUPERANNUATION) ACT 1906 - SECT 9A
Commencement of pension
9A Commencement of pension
(1) Where an annual superannuation allowance is granted under this Act to a
member of the police force who retires, the allowance is payable as from the
day that next succeeds the day on which the member retires.
(3) Where an
annual superannuation allowance is granted under this Act in consequence of
the death of a member, or a former member of the police force, the allowance
is payable as from the day that next succeeds the day of his or her death.
(4) An annual superannuation allowance granted under section 10 to a former
member of the police force who resigned or retired is, subject to this Act,
payable as from-- (a) the date the former member lodged the application for
the allowance that was determined by STC certifying the matters referred to in
section 10B (2) (b), or
(b) such earlier date as STC may determine if STC is
satisfied that there are exceptional circumstances that merit STC doing so.
