Recording of satisfaction of annuity etc
66 Recording of satisfaction of annuity etc
(1) Upon proof of the death of the annuitant, or of the occurrence of the
event or circumstance upon which, in accordance with the provisions of any
charge, the annuity, rent-charge or sum of money thereby secured ceases to be
payable, and upon proof that all arrears of the said annuity, rent-charge or
sum of money (together with interest, if any) have been paid, satisfied, or
discharged, the Registrar-General shall make in the Register such recording
with respect to the payment, satisfaction or discharge as the
Registrar-General thinks fit.
(2) Upon such recording being made, the land,
estate, or interest shall cease to be subject to, or liable for, such annuity,
rent-charge or sum of money.
