STATUS OF CHILDREN ACT 1996 - SECT 34
Court orders for separate representation of child
34 Court orders for separate representation of child
(1) This section applies to proceedings under this Division concerning a
child.
(2) If it appears to the Supreme Court that the child ought to be
separately represented, the Court may order that the child is to be separately
represented, and may also make such orders as it considers necessary to secure
that representation.
(3) The Supreme Court may make an order for separate
representation-- (a) on the application of any person, or
(b) of its own
motion.
