Convening general meeting to consider proposal
158 Convening general meeting to consider proposal
(1) If the strata committee decides that the strata renewal proposal warrants
further consideration by the owners corporation, it must, as soon as
practicable (but no later than 30 days) after making the decision, convene a
general meeting of the owners corporation to further consider the proposal.
(2) Also, a general meeting of the owners corporation may be convened to
consider the strata renewal proposal on a qualified request, whether or not
the strata committee has considered the proposal or decided it warrants
further consideration.
(3) The purpose of the general meeting is to decide
whether or not the owners corporation considers the strata renewal proposal
warrants investigation by a strata renewal committee.
(4) Notice of the
general meeting must-- (a) comply with clause 1 of Schedule 7, and
(b) be
given to each owner at least 14 days before the meeting.
