(1) The objective of this clause is to prevent substandard residential accommodation occurring through the conversion of serviced apartments to a residential flat building.
(2) Development consent must not be granted for the strata subdivision of a building that is or has been used for serviced apartments for use as a residential flat building unless the consent authority has considered the following in relation to the residential flat building--(a) the design principles for residential apartment development within the meaning of State Environmental Planning Policy (Housing) 2021 ,(b) the Apartment Design Guide within the meaning of that policy.
