Requirement to notify change of particulars other than address
16 Requirement to notify change of particulars other than address
(1) The holder of a licence or permit must, if there is any change in a
particular (for example, the name of the holder) stated in the licence or
permit-- (a) notify the Commissioner, in writing or in such other manner as
may be approved, of the change within 14 days after the change occurs, and
(b) if a replacement licence or permit is issued to the holder--surrender the
original licence or permit at the police station nearest to the usual place of
residence of the holder within 14 days after receiving the replacement licence
or permit.
: Maximum penalty--20 penalty units.
(2) This clause extends to a
change in the genuine reason for which the person was issued with a licence
(including the removal of a genuine reason or the inclusion of an additional
genuine reason).
(3) This clause does not apply to a change in a licensee's
or permit holder's place of residence. Note : Section 69 of the Act already
requires the holder of a licence or permit to provide particulars of his or
her change of address.
