ROAD RULES 2014 - REG 122

Giving way at a give way sign or give way line at a level crossing

122 Giving way at a give way sign or give way line at a level crossing

A driver at a level crossing with a give way sign or give way line must give way to any train or tram on, approaching or entering the crossing.

Maximum penalty: 20 penalty units.
Note 1 :
"Approaching" ,
"enter" ,
"give way line" and
"tram" are defined in the Dictionary.
Note 2 : For this rule,
"give way" means the driver must slow down and, if necessary, stop to avoid a collision--see the definition in the Dictionary.
