52 Exemptions from eligibility criteria
(cf 2008 Reg cl 41)
(1) Transport for NSW must exempt a person from a
relevant eligibility requirement for a driver licence if the person holds an
Australian driver licence of an equivalent class.
(2) Transport for NSW may
exempt a person from a relevant eligibility requirement for a driver licence
if the person satisfies Transport for NSW that, because of age, experience,
occupation or special circumstances, the person is fit to be granted the
licence or variation sought.
(3) If a person has held a licence to drive a
motor vehicle in an external Territory or another country, Transport for NSW
may take into account some or all of that period for the purposes of
determining the period for which a person has previously held a licence.
