New South Wales Consolidated Regulations New South Wales Consolidated RegulationsA person conducting a business or undertaking who is to carry out refurbishment of residential premises must ensure--
(a) that all asbestos that is likely to be disturbed by the refurbishment is identified, and
(b) so far as is reasonably practicable, that the asbestos is removed before the refurbishment is commenced.
: Maximum penalty--(a) in the case of an individual--70 penalty units, or(b) in the case of a body corporate--345 penalty units.
