This legislation has been repealed.
(1) The statutory compensation for which a secondary victim of an act of violence is eligible comprises:(a) compensation for compensable injuries received by the victim as a direct result of witnessing the act of violence, and(b) compensation for financial loss incurred by the victim as a direct result of any such compensable injury.
(2) Any secondary victim who dies ceases to be eligible for statutory compensation. Any pending application made by or on behalf of a secondary victim does not survive the death of the secondary victim.
