This legislation has been repealed.
(1) The objective of this clause is to protect the aesthetic, conservation, recreational and scientific values of national parks and nature reserves.
(2) This clause applies to land adjoining a national park or nature reserve.
(3) In determining whether to grant development consent to development on land to which this clause applies, the consent authority must consider the following--(a) whether the development is compatible with and does not detract from the values of the national park or nature reserve,(b) any management plans applicable to nearby areas within the national park or nature reserve,(c) whether the development has been designed and sited to minimise visual intrusion when viewed from vantage points within the national park or nature reserve.
