This legislation has been repealed.
(1) The owner or person in charge of a saleyard or an abattoir, or a stock and station agent, to which cattle have been sent, must, by the close of business on the next working day after the death, loss or theft of any of those cattle, provide the authorised administrator with the following information:(a) that the cattle have died or been lost or stolen,(b) the date on which the cattle died or were lost or stolen, or if this is not known, the date the person became aware of the death, loss or theft,(c) the relevant identification particulars of the cattle concerned.
(2) Subclause (1) applies only if the authorised administrator has been advised of the sending and the cattle subsequently die or are lost or stolen.
Maximum penalty: 100 penalty units.
