This legislation has been repealed.
(1) A licensee must, within 7 days after becoming aware that the licence has been lost, stolen, destroyed, defaced or mutilated or become illegible, notify the Commissioner of that occurrence.Maximum penalty:(a) in the case of a corporation--40 penalty units, or(b) in the case of an individual--10 penalty units.
(2) For the purposes of this clause, the Commissioner is taken to have been notified of the occurrence if:(a) oral notice of the occurrence has been given, either in person or by telephone, to a police officer at a police station or to the Police Assistance Line (131 444) and a Computerised Operational Policing System Event reference number has been issued to the licensee, or(b) notice of the occurrence has been given in any other manner approved by the Commissioner.
