An Act to amend the Parole Act

The Legislative Assembly of the Northern Territory enacts as follows:

1 Short title

This Act may be cited as the Parole Amendment Act 2014.

2 Act amended

This Act amends the Parole Act.

3 Section 3EB amended

(1) Section 3EB(2)(c)(iii)

omit

3B(1)(f).

insert

3B(1)(f); and

(2) After section 3EB(2)(c)

insert

(d) if the Chairperson considers it desirable – one other member of the Board nominated by the Chairperson who must be a member mentioned in section 3B(1)(d).

4 Expiry of Act

This Act expires on the day after it commences.
