The Legislative Assembly of the Northern Territory enacts as follows:

1 Short title

This Act may be cited as the Terrorism (Emergency Powers) Amendment Act 2016.

2 Act amended

This Act amends the Terrorism (Emergency Powers) Act.

3 Section 21ZV amended

(1) Section 21ZV(1)

omit

all words from "10 years" to "commences"

insert

30 June 2026

(2) Section 21ZV(2)

omit

all words from "the end" to "commences"

insert

30 June 2026

4 Expiry of Act

This Act expires on the day after it commences.
