Northern Territory Consolidated Acts Northern Territory Consolidated Acts(1) A person who comes into possession of a firearm, but is not authorised by this Act to possess the firearm, must immediately surrender the firearm to a police officer.
Maximum penalty: 50 penalty units or imprisonment for 12 months.
(2) A person does not contravene any other provision of this Act just by surrendering a firearm in accordance with this section.
