Northern Territory Consolidated Acts Northern Territory Consolidated Acts(1) If the proprietor of a registered food business sells or otherwise disposes of the food business or other property used in relation to carrying on the operations of the food business, the proprietor must, in an approved form, notify the Chief Health Officer of the sale or disposal not later than 14 days after the date of the sale or disposal.
Maximum penalty: If the offender is an individual – 100 penalty units.
If the offender is a body corporate – 500 penalty units.
(2) The approved form for a notice for subsection (1) must require details of the following:
(a) the food business or other property sold or otherwise disposed of;
(b) the name and address of the purchaser.
